Christine is a dramaturg, educator, and producer who champions new works and develops new voices for the American theater.  

She is the Director of the MFA Playwriting Program at Hunter College, a highly-selective, rigorous, affordable and accessible two-year playwriting program in New York City.

Christine specializes in the development of new works and has nearly two decades of experience in new play development. She puts playwrights at the center of her practice and makes it her mission to honor and support their vision. She is a fierce advocate for playwrights and artists.

As a dramaturg, she has worked on world premiere productions of Meteor Shower by Steve Martin (Long Wharf/Broadway), Lewiston by Sam Hunter (Long Wharf), Napoli Brooklyn by Meghan Kennedy (Long Wharf/Roundabout), The Most Beautiful Room in New York by Adam Gopnik and David Shire (Long Wharf), Pride and Prejudice by Kate Hamill (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival/Primary Stages), The Scarlett Letter by Kate Hamill (Two River Theater), Goodnight Nobody by Rachel Bonds (McCarter Theater), 53% Of by Steph Del Rosso (Second Stage Theater), Phoebe in Winter by Jen Silverman (Clubbed Thumb), Heartless by Sam Shepherd (Signature Theater), and Title and Deed by Will Eno (Signature Theater). 

Christine has also worked as a dramaturg with Cleveland Play House, Kennedy Center, Lark Play Development Center, New Dramatists, Playwrights Center, Playwrights Realm, Theatre for a New Audience, and Williamstown Theatre Festival. She’s developed work with writers such as Clare Barron, John Caswell Jr., Christopher Chen, Mary Hamilton, Jesse Jae Hoon, Diana Ly, Tony Meneses, Jonathan Payne, Brian Quijada, Jen Silverman, and Phillip Christian Smith.

She was previously the Literary Manager at Long Wharf Theatre, the Producing Associate and Resident Dramaturg at Premiere Stages, the Literary Associate at Williamstown Theatre Festival, and the Literary Assistant at Signature Theatre. She was also the Artistic Producer of the PEN World Voices International Play Festival, the Associate Producer/Literary Manager of Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival’s reading series HVSF2, an Associate Producer of the New Georges Jam Festival, and the Producing Director of Strangemen & Co. She has served on selection panels for the Horton Foote Prize and the Jerome Fellowship.

Christine has taught at Fordham University, Rutgers University, and the University of Iowa. She was educated entirely in public schools including the University of Iowa, where she received her MFA in Dramaturgy. Proud LMDA member. She lives in South Orange, New Jersey.
